Differences Between Robbery and Burglary in Kansas
The Kansas statutes define robbery as taking property from a person or their presence by force or threats of bodily harm. Aggravated robbery adds a weapon or injury. Burglary means knowingly entering or remaining in a building or vehicle with the intent to commit a felony, theft, or sexual battery. Aggravated burglary involves entering an occupied building or vehicle with the same intent.
