Hazel Fishburn Flory 64 of Lone Star died Tuesday afternoon at Lawrence Memorial Hospital funeral set for Thursday at Lone Star Church of the Brethren with no flowers requested. A second service will be Saturday at the Christian Church in Medicine Lodge followed by burial at Highland Memorial Cemetery. Survivors include husband Arthur, daughter Marguerite Barncord, son Franklin Fishburn, two brothers, two stepsons and nine grandchildren. Charles M. Metzger 84 of Jefferson County died Tuesday in Jefferson County Memorial Hospital resident of the county all his life he lived on a farm near Oskaloosa 42 years and retired eight years ago. Born Sept 30 1874 near Ozankie he was sheriff of Jefferson County 1927-1928 member of the Methodist Church of Oskaloosa and A F and A M Lodge 14. Services Thursday at Oskaloosa Methodist Church with Masonic graveside at Ozawkie Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home of Oskaloosa in charge. Survivors include three daughters Annie Herring Mabel McPherson Ellen Mohney. two sons Homer Metzger Joe Metzger. three brothers Harry Harvey Arthur Metzger and 13 grandchildren. His wife died in 1945.
