Honolulu parade honors Japanese American WWII veterans

Hundreds of Japanese American veterans from World War II were celebrated in a Honolulu parade, honoring the 442nd Regimental Combat Team and 100th Infantry Battalion who earned the Congressional Gold Medal last month. Health issues kept many veterans, the youngest in their 80s, from attending the Washington ceremony, prompting a Hawaii celebration for two thirds of the honorees.
