Personal Income Gains in October Hit New Record
Washington AP reports October personal income rose by 1.8 billion to a record annual rate of 447.4 billion. Over half the rise came from government worker pay raises. The Commerce Department notes income has leveled off since early spring, with commodity-producing industries driving part of the gain.
