The Lawrence recreation council closes its six week swimming program directed by Lavenne Jacobson and Marjorie Dinsmore. A total of 1 978 lessons were given to 276 swimmers with 250 beginners. Of 230 beginners 150 passed beginning tests and 15 of 46 intermediates are ready to pass intermediate tests.
