Lawrence youth waives prelim in larceny case
An 18 year old Lawrence youth waived preliminary hearing on a grand larceny charge and was bound over to the November term of district court. Robert J. Laushman Jr. of Route 1 was released on 1500 dollar bond after being charged in connection with the January 22 theft at RJ s Apco service station at 1010 North Third Street, where about 900 dollars in cash and 475 in checks were stolen.

Fair Officials Discuss Entries and Livestock Stall Space
Douglas County 4-H FFA and Fair superintendents met at the fairgrounds to plan for the Aug 8 12 fair noting 585 head of livestock and allocating stalls. Livestock entries include 130 beef cattle 160 dairy cattle 82 hogs 93 sheep and 120 horses. Roy Lawson Fair Board president led the meeting.

County Agency Hears Reappraisal Protest In Sewer District
County Commissioners met at the Courthouse to hear protests from property owners in Riverside Sewer District No. 8 sub district 2 NW of 6th and Iowa Sts regarding an earlier reappraisal. Brown Speech Said Sole Cause Of Cambridge Race Riot
