Three armed men abducted Louie Hadl a 62 year old farmer and his son Robert 19 forcing them to drive to near Kansas City Kan. They looted the house took cash jewelry and firearms and forced the Hadls to return home before the suspects fled toward Bonner Springs leaving the car and scene with threats to not report the crime. Local officers identified a Plymouth coupe theft and linked the suspects to prior robberies in the area.

Big KU Festival Sets All-Time Attendance at KU Event
The Mid Western Music Competition Festival at the University of Kansas expects the largest turnout in its history with about 4 000 high school musicians from Kansas Missouri and Nebraska.
