All Plead Guilty in Kansas City Nightspot Case
Four night spot operators pled guilty to indictments from a grand jury investigating gambling and vice in Kansas City. Three Kansas City youths George Andrew Smith Victor Leon Ramsey and James Albert Roark were charged under the Lindbergh law with transporting under threats of violence Juanita Reed and Lorenzo Collins across state lines for armed robbery. Police say they abducted Louis Hadl and his son Robert from an Eudora Kansas farm, robbed them, and fled toward Kansas City before being captured at 920 the Paseo.
