Fighting along the Suez Canal entered its ninth straight day as Israeli and Egyptian forces clashed. In Wichita, AP reports the defense opened testimony in the trial of nine Negro men accused of beating and threatening Kansas City and Wichita War on Poverty officials. Chester I.
