Robbed Mails Arrest of George Gross Negro Mail Carrier
George Gross, a colored mail carrier on route No 3, is arrested on charges of embezzling and robbing letters, including a $45 registered item. Inspectors used decoy letters to trap him. two decoys to Ruth Eldridge and a note to St Louis revealed the scheme. Gross, who had been away on a fifteen day vacation, is to be taken before U S authorities in Topeka.
