Mrs Hannah Latimore Harford Dies in Kansas at 81
Mrs Hannah Latimore Harford of Washington County Pennsylvania was born February 25 1814 and died July 21 1895 at her daughter Mrs Mary M Miller’s home in Douglas County Kansas aged 81 years 5 months Funeral services were held next morning conducted by the undersigned She was a longtime M E church member at 15 and married Daniel C Harford in 1835 Their family moved west after the Civil War and settled in Kansas They had eleven children four of whom preceded her in death Her son Rev R L Harford died in 1883 in Petaluma California and was a former pastor of the First M E Church in Lawrence

Kansas corn crop drought hits many Kansas counties
In a weekly weather bulletin twenty five Kansas counties report needed rain for corn. Dickinson county notes insufficient corn for feed and drying hay and pastures. Cloud county reports drought damaged corn and dried pastures. A Santa Fe official warns crop damage may reach forty percent south of Wichita.
