The Stardust Hotel debuts the $1 million 650-seat Starlight Theatre Lounge with a 9 000 square foot space and revolving stage. Allen R. Glick and Robert Conrad will officiate the ribbon cutting and serve as headliners for the opening two nights.
Fats Domino Strutt and the Kenny Davis Road Show headline the Stardust new lounge at the Starlight Theatre. Robert Conrad headlines the first two nights in the opening act lineup.
A song comedy duo headlines the Circus Maximus at Caesars Palace nightly through October 13. Andy Williams and Freddie Prinze perform in a two show format with performances at 9 p.m. and 12 30 a.m. daily.
The Union Plaza wraps its 23 week run of Who Gets The Drapes as the comedy ends after Sunday's dinner show. Starring Terry Moore and Buddy Lester, the cast includes Bobby Sargent and Rick Sultan. On Tuesday Oct 5 Maynard Sloate announces Natalie Needs A Nightie with Phil Ford Cork Proctor Cissy Colpitts Carrie Pierillo Eddie Peddie Roberta Brahm and Toni Guthrie in the title role. Director Ernie Sarracino continues Plaza hits like Mind With The Dirty Man Norman Is That You and Who Gets The Drapes. The current hit features Moore and Lester in a sharp divorce farce with athletic performances and a seduction scene. Who Gets The Drapes is shown as dinner at 8 pm and a cocktail show at 11 45 pm.
Thunderbird presents The Orphans Revenge a musical spoof of 19th century melodrama debuts October 8 at the Thunderbird Hotel with showings at 2 pm and 4 pm. Suzanne Buhrer and Gene Casey wrote it Marge Jacques produces the production choreographed by Ray Frost casting for 12 roles is underway.
Cork Proctor’s sharp humor fills the Bagdad Theatre at the Aladdin with nightly shows at 10 p.m. and 12 30 a.m. Reservations advised by Maitre d Joey Dee. The Supremes and Proctor run through Sunday October 3, then Lou Rawls opens Tuesday October 5.
