Nevada Gaming Official Edward Bowers Resigns
Edward Bowers, longtime executive director of the Nevada State Gaming Commission and Gaming Control Board, resigns after 21 years to join the Gaming Industry Association of Northern Nevada representing 31 casinos. He will become assistant to director Les Kofoed, effective October 15 with a start November 1, boosting his salary from 25 000 to a higher level.
