Plantation Kitchen Set to Open at Stardust July 1

Stardust Hotel will unveil the Plantation Kitchen with a 234 seat capacity under manager Bob Wesley. The menu features Pancakes Venusine, Southern fried chicken, Belgium Waffle, chef's salad and fresh pastries. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings will be available daily.

Ingenious Japanese Pot Grill Brings Hibachi Dining to New York

In New York UPI reports restaurateur Hiroaki Aoki opens Benihana of Tokyo using hibachi tables where seven to eight diners share a central gas grill. The menu blends Japanese American flavors with steak shrimp and chicken entrees and tables may be sold for home use. Aoki envisions a national chain with New Orleans and San Francisco openings planned this year and six more by 1970.
