Chamber Expands Membership In Las Vegas

T. M. Carroll the municipal judge and Raymond Lee Williams were elected to membership in the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce following a favorable committee report. The chamber referred the Las Vegas Furniture Company application by Peter Pansy for further action.

Christmas Chamber of Commerce Meeting Discusses Food Baskets

Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce held a Tuesday noon meeting. The Christmas committee will entrust next year’s food baskets to the Elks lodge and any funds left will be carried to the next holiday season. A coupon system will replace repeated candy bag pickups next year. Legislative committee will report after a Monday meeting. Publicity plans include attendance at the Associated Civic Clubs of Southern Utah in St George. Horsemen's Association will meet to plan the annual rodeo. Guests included Fred W. Neuman of MacKay Business College and Mr Byrd of Spokane.

New officers of Southgate Chapter O E S will be installed at a special meeting in the Masonic temple. The event is set for Wednesday evening January 6 at 7 30 with each member allowed one guest and a social hour to follow.
