Lancaster Town to form general common school district
An act to unite Lancaster Town Lancaster County Ohio into one general common school district provides for district voting on taxes on April first, 1848, creates a Board of Education with six directors, outlines their duties including bonding powers, tax levies for school construction and maintenance, examiners, reports to the Secretary of State, and rules for tax elections and school funding.
