Frey and Book Claim Dairy Show Titles at Lampeter Fair
Frey and Book earned grand and senior dairy championships at the Lampeter Fair Dairy Show in the Holstein and Guernsey divisions. Frey’s Jan, a 401 Beaver Valley Pike entry, topped the Holstein grand and senior class with records from 608 to 683 pounds of butterfat and milk nearing 19 000 pounds. Susan Ann Kauffman of Elizabethtown claimed multiple wins with Penn Spa Topper heifer and top showing performance. In Guernsey, Coupon by Ans mil Dividend, shown by J Robert Book and partners, took grand and senior titles, with two-year records around 14 340 pounds milk and 601 pounds butterfat.
