Penn Manor FFA members travel to National Convention
Nine Penn Manor High School seniors and adviser August Birchler left for Kansas City to attend the National FFA Convention. The group toured landmarks from Cincinnati to St. Louis, visited the Truman Library, stockyards, and GM plant, and returned by Sunday evening praising Lancaster County home.

4-H Beef Group Sets Special Meeting for District Show
A special meeting of the Southeast District 4-H Beef Show and Sale management committee will convene at 8 p.m. on Wednesday October 27 at the Union Stockyards in Lancaster. The committee is aided by Lester Burdette and Frank Bortz from Penn State University and by officials from the Livestock Exchange and the Union Stockyards Company. Chester County will be represented by John Schwartz and Bill Holloway, with Max Smith Lancaster County ag agent Harvey Fisher Harold Stewart and Wilmer Nissley also on the committee.
