Cattle Feeders Tour Planned for Lancaster County

The Lancaster County cattle feeders tour runs 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday November 4 with reservations due by Monday. Cost is 2 per person for bus transport and 3 for lunch. Humorist to Speak at Holstein Banquet in Lancaster

The 21st annual Lancaster County Holstein-Friesian Association banquet begins at 6 45 pm on Tuesday November 9 at the Farm and Home Center. Poultry Waste Meeting Planned Here November 10

A Poultry Waste Conversion Symposium is scheduled from 9 30 a m to 4 30 p m at the Home Center. Registration begins at 9 30 a m. Morning program chairman is Herbert Jordan. Penn State assistant poultry professor Glenn Herr and Cloisterdale Farms manager in Ephrata will speak on opportunities from 24 million pounds at 10 a m. Dr Glenn Bressler of Penn State will discuss manure reduction and future conversion methods at 10 40 a m.
