4-H Baby Beef Club Enrollment Time Here
Lancaster County youths ages 9 to 19 are urged to enroll in the 4-H Baby Beef Club. Members start with Angus Hereford or Shorthorn calves fed in November or December and learn feeding records fitting and showing steers. Two clubs operate Red Rose and New Holland, with shows at local fairs, Farm Show, and Exposition.

Nine Lancaster County 4 H Horse Club members qualified in thirteen events to enter the State Light Horse and Pony Show at the Farm Show Building November 11 and 12. District 10 event at Chester County on September 24 produced top placers advancing to the state level.

Annual 4 H Cookie Sale Opens in Lancaster County
The Lancaster County 4 H Clubs begin a bake sale from October 1 to 22 to fund the inter state exchange trip. Four varieties are offered cocoanut macaroon peanut butter patties marshmallow bars and chocolate graham crackers. General chairs are Larry Antes Judy Buckwalter and Mr Joy with area leaders across Ephrata Stevens Manheim Elizabethtown Quarryville New Holland and Bareville.
