Farm Women Aid Lancaster County Christmas Seal Campaign
Farm Women assist the health society with the 1967 Christmas Seal effort. About 70 000 envelopes were prepared by ten local Farm Women’s Societies during September. Fred J. Muth was named chair of the Lancaster County TB and Health Society campaign with a kickoff set for November 14 at Strasburg Railroad.

J. K. Mast of Conestoga Meadow Farms Morgantown led a stretch Hereford to top the open show at the Pennsylvania Livestock Exposition in Harrisburg. The red white face steer won the breed and junior show honors with a junior yearling first place and top placements in senior categories.

Broderick urges constitutional changes at conservation event
Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor Raymond J. Broderick told the 20th Annual State Convention of the Soil and Water Conservation that the limited constitutional convention offers the greatest chance to reform government in a century. He cited William Penn and urged good governance as essential, noting the convention will meet in Harrisburg December 1 and end February 29, 1968, with four focus areas including the judiciary local government taxation and finance.

A Lancaster County 4H group led by Sheryl Weaver Rick Kreider Suzanne Oberholtzer Sharon Weaver and Gary Dean topped the combined 4H and FFA Best Five class at the 11th Annual Pennsylvania Livestock Exposition in Harrisburg with stretchy 4H Black Angus yearlings.
