County Showmen Return With Trophies From Exposition
Lancaster County livestock showmen collected several championships and many ribbons at the fifth annual Pennsylvania Livestock Exposition. Fred Frey of Quarryville led the car cass steer class on foot and, with two other steers, won Get of Sire. Green Meadows Farm earned a Hampshire ram championship and top placings in multiple sheep classes. Mrs Milton K. Morgan won a red ribbon in Suffolk judging. Warren Leininger defended his title with the grand champion Spotted Poland China boar and topped the light crossbreed class.
