Lititz area gains a new bulk milk sales room as Neil Clark plans to start selling gallon milk jugs within days. The move follows a long history of local dairy sales from Spruce Villa and the Brubaker farm, with expansion aimed at boosting consumption and herd size.
After examining several alfalfa fields, the Pennsylvania State University insect expert said treated fields showed mixed results with Dieldrin applied last fall.
The 4-H Club at New Holland elected two members to serve on the county 4-H Council and named junior leaders including David Lapp and Roy ntzer. Adult leaders listed include John Y Gordonville Ri Earl and Elvin Hess. The meeting occurred in the Holland Bank Building and a visit to Hub W's hatchery was planned. Recommendations from the experiment station noted slight insect damage this spring with advice to spray promptly in fields showing weevil damage.
The Manheim Township 4 H Merry Stitchers held an organizational meeting at 1860 Harrington Drive Lancaster. Seventeen members attended and elected Patsy Long as president Susan Hess as vice president Phyllis Bryson as secretary Nancy Rohrer as treasurer Marian Landis as songleader Ann Landis and Jeanne Hess as game leaders Averill Royer as news reporter Nancy Rohrer elected County 4 H Council member Local leaders include Mrs Herbert Royer Mrs John Hess Mrs Robert Bryam and Mrs Robert Eby.
Announced events include the Arm Calendar event at the Farm building Harrisburg and the Pequea FFA officer elections for 1961 62. New Holland 4 club meets at the New Island Bank building while Town and Country business club gathers at the Farm Bureau Cooperative on Dillerville Road.

William Maule of Quarryville was elected Tuesday evening to represent the Kirkwood community 4-H club on Lancaster County Council. The third meeting at Bart Colerain Elementary School drew 30 members and seven adults. A gardening demonstration preceded a talk by A. G. Lueck, assistant County Agent. Next club meeting is June 13 at 8:00 p.m. at Bart Colerain School. Martin Greenleaf Jr. reports for the club.
