Hatch Report Shows Increase in Egg Type Chicks
Hatch data for April show 55 million egg type chicks hatched in the Keystone State, up 20 percent from April 1960 but just below the five year 1955 59 average. For January through April, egg type production rose six percent year over year and 0.1 percent above the national five year average, with Pennsylvania contributing to the period's gains.
