Lancaster Delivers Record Broiler Sale Despite Low Prices
At the Lancaster Poultry Exchange the Wednesday sale moved 51,520 broilers while 148,800 head were listed for Friday. Prices hovered around 18 to 20 cents with a few lots at 19 to 19 1 2 cents. April totals show 434,585 broilers capettes turkeys and fowl sold at 19.48 cents average. year-ago week 169,800 head at 22.51 cents.
