A new dehydrated alfalfa meal high in protein and carotene has been developed for hogs and poultry. Made with extra dehydration steps, it supplies vitamins E and K and xanthophyll for golden yolks and bright feathers. The product consists mainly of leaves and small stems suitable for monogastric feed, while the coarser half feeds cattle and sheep.
Officials from the National 4H Center will spend time touring monuments in Washington to promote citizenship education among youth.
