The Merry Maids of Lam Peter Strasburg 4H Club held its reorganization meeting on May 24 naming Joyce Groff as president Kim Hess secretary Brenda Herr treasurer Treva Lefever vice president Debbie Hess assistant secretary Joyce Houser assistant treasurer Cathy Good news reporter Jan Hess Melanie Werner game leaders and Lor Baker song leader County Council members include Joyce Groff Sharon Groff and Debbie Hess The next meeting is June 14 at Martin Meylin Junior High 12 30 to 3 pm The Rough Riders 4H Horse and Fun Show date moved from May 30 to June 6 1 pm at Quarryville Legion Park Grounds with junior and open English and Western classes Six ribbons and trophies plus money prizes will be awarded Show rain or shine The Sad ie Cin ches 4H Horse and Pony Club May meeting was at Kenneth Berry's home led by Lori Zerphy with roll call and horse talks The Elizabethtown Donegal Community 4H Club guest Jay Irwin Lancaster County 4H Extension Agent Demonstrations covered gloom showmanship saddling bridling loading a horse and leads A July 10 Cowtown USA trip and August 4 Philadelphia Zoo visit are planned plus a June trail ride The next meeting is at Richard Mc Coy's Milton Grove News Reporter Margaret Keeney
