Blenders gain popularity with wide features and new styling
The article notes blender sales exceeding five and a half million in 1970 and highlights features such as handles with measuring marks, larger 6 cup containers, lower silhouettes for counter use, multiple speeds, a spatula inside the container, and built in timers. It also mentions the cool and stir heating option and advises shopping for models that fit intended uses while noting mixers cannot be fully replaced. It then shifts to fashion guidance on skirt lengths and proportion, followed by a report on Farm Women Society 3’s annual picnic at Walters Grove with 70 attendees, program roles, Main Street fair plans, potential bus trip to Harrisburg, August activities, children’s games, and future meetings at Salem Lutheran Church Eph rata.
