Sperry New Holland will build a worldwide Engineering Center in New Holland borough to house engineers and equipment for designing and testing farm and industrial gear. Completion is set for 1974 with focus on engineering innovation to meet rising global demand and mechanize farming more efficiently.
Sperry New Holland announces a 140000 square foot engineering center on a 300 acre site near its existing Operations Center and baler plant. The facility will host product and design engineering, testing, drafting, labs and an engineering shop to expand development for farm and industrial equipment.
The sixth meeting of the Penn Manor 4 H Clashing Thimbles Club was called to order by president Kris Stehman. Members recited the 4 H pledge and pledged to the flag. Roll call and business followed with a decision to donate treasury funds to the Farm and Home Center. Kris Stehman led a clothes pressing demonstration. Clean up was assigned to Lori Leaman and Karen Breneman. Meeting adjourned and a work period observed.
