Vigortone to Build Modern Pre Mix Plant in Marion Ohio
Vigortone Products chairman Arthur D. Swartzentruber announced a new automated livestock pre mix facility and area office to serve markets east of Indiana. The Marion Ohio plant should be finished by October 1 1972 and will hire about 15 workers initially.

Benefit Square Dance Aids Flood Victims in Marietta
The Lancaster County Square Dancing Club hosts a benefit square dance on July 13 at 8 00 p m at Riverview Elementary School Route 441 Marietta to raise funds for flood victims. Paul Andrews will call the dance. Admission is by donation and proceeds go to relief. Cookies cakes and pies are requested.

Broiler Placements Decline in Commonwealth Week
Placements of broiler chicks in the Commonwealth for the week ending June 24, 1972 totaled 1,204,000, down 9 percent from the same week a year earlier and 5 percent below the prior week. Settings for boiler chicks were 1,936,000, up 12 percent from last week but 7 percent below last year. Eggs set in the current 3 week period are 7 percent below year-ago levels. Over the past 10 weeks broiler-type chick shipments averaged 63,000, vs 1,000 a year ago, while outshipments averaged 260,000, 18 percent above a year earlier.
