At the Pennsylvania Egg Marketing Association meeting President Sam Berenson reported no extension for the Egg Products Act beyond July 1 1971. He warned that six Pennsylvania shell egg plants may face hardship and urged early prep for provisions due in July 1972.

He is a Minneapolis native and will reside in Lancaster with his wife.
District Forester Patrick Lantz of Forest District 17 announces the start of annual insect and disease surveillance flights over Berks Bucks Chester Delaware Lancaster and Montgomery counties. Flights map outbreaks then ground crews verify and forward data to Harrisburg for action.
