Hiestand Farm Family Highlights Rural Life and Work
Mrs. Dale E. Hiestand of Bainbridge Township shares life on The Old Homestead Farm. A farmer’s wife, she handles milking, bookwork, haying and garden canning while Dale plows and tends corn. The couple run 155 acres with 35 Holstein cows and 25 calves, earning honors in Lancaster County herds. Sharon chairs Farm Women Society 29 and contributes to events, bake sales, and charity, balancing church, school, and community activities with farming duties.
