Hertzler Cow Takes Grand Championship at Chicago Dairy Show
Conewago Reflection Trudy a four year old Holstein from Conewago Farms Elizabethtown won Senior and Grand Champion in the female Holstein division at the Chicago International Dairy Show November 24 marking the first Pennsylvania cow to claim the grand title. The 92 excellent rated cow was also named for All America four year old 1967 with prior wins including reserve All Pennsylvania three year old and other honors in 1966.

Tested by Wise Potato Chip Company of Berwick, PA, it shows high specific gravity, excellent chipping qualities, and broad processing stability from 50 to 55 degrees. Cooperative work with Wise and Penn State notes round to oblong shape, white skin, shallow eyes, and good resistance to Verticillium wilt and late blight, with medium maturity and strong processing suitability.
