Prices fluctuate by day and weight class.
The market reports a week of 2400 cattle receipts in Peoria with prices firming across steers and heifers. Slaughter steers gain 2.00-4.00 per hundredweight on choice lots, heifers up 3.00-4.00, cows 1.00-4.50 higher, while bulls stay steady to strong.
At Lebanon Valley Auction 264 head of cattle and 225 head of veal calves sold with slaughter steers up 6 to 7 dollars, cows and bulls showing gains. Slaughter steers 1000 to 1200 pounds brought 57.00 to 58.25, cows 34.75 to 42.50, bulls 46.75 to 54.00, veal calves 75.00 to 76.50 for prime and 52.00 to 59.00 for utilities. Sheep included choice 70 to 100 pound lambs at 37.00 to 38.50 and utilities 32.50 for a 70 pound lot.

Calves 3820 head with weaners up, hogs 6173 head with barrows and gilts up to 55.50, sows 42.60 to 45.50, feeders 18 to 40 per head, sheep 1167 head with lambs 32.00 to 38.00 and ewes to 20.00.
