Ag Chemical Seminar Set For Thursday at Host Town Motel
A seminar on agricultural chemicals including pesticides and veterinary drugs will be held next Thursday April 24 at the Host Town Motel in Lancaster. Chair Henry E Givler Area Vo-Ag Supervisor says the meeting invites all representatives of local businesses dealing in Ag Chemicals. Lancaster County Farm and Home Center reports $61,138 raised to date to retire the debt. John Herr, steering committee, notes about two thirds in cash and the rest in pledges. Bank balances total $12,121.19 and mortgage due stands at $170,000. Howard Campbell cites $7,117.12 in operating funds and March 103 meetings with 67 planned for April. Projected six month income from room rentals totals $4,225.90 with $594.50 January, $1,238.50 February, and $1,124.90 March received. The board also raises scholarship funds for youths from $300 to $400. Meeting adjourned at 9:30 PM.
