Cereal Leaf Beetle Survey Planned Across 25 Counties
The State Agriculture Department announced a cereal leaf beetle survey set to begin May 1 in 25 counties. The beetle, a relatively new plant pest, threatens oats wheat and barley and has spread eastward since its Michigan 1962 discovery, appearing in Pennsylvania in 1967.
