Outstanding 4-H'er Eric Stoner Plans Agricultural Research Career
Eric Stoner, an eighteen year old Manheim Township High School senior, will enroll at Penn State in the College of Agriculture to study agronomy with an aim toward a career in agricultural research. He is one of three Stoner brothers at Penn State next fall and lives on the family Eden Road farm near Lancaster.

Weekend Forecast Promises Cooler Temperatures Ahead
Weather continues below normal temperatures for the next several days with seasonal conditions expected for the weekend. Normal midyear temperatures range from 63 to 40 degrees, and little precipitation is expected with showers likely Monday night or Tuesday totaling about one-tenth inch or less.
Beef Club Leaders Plan 1966 Southeast District Show
District extension workers and 4-H beef club leaders will meet April 26 at 8 pm in the Livestock Exchange Room at Lancaster Stock Yards to plan the 1966 Southeast District 4-H Baby Beef Show and Sale. Dauphin Chester Northampton and Lancaster counties will be represented with Lester Burdette and Frank Bortz from Penn State assisting.

Soil Stewardship Week Plans Set At SWCD Meet
Lancaster County Soil and Water Conservation District directors announced plans to observe Soil Stewardship Week May 15 to 22 at the regular meeting in the Court House. They will provide church bulletin kits for Rogation Sunday sermons and urged ministers to contact a director. The meeting also reviewed long range conservation plans adopted by other counties.

Gloria Hershey of New Holland and Kenneth Ratt of Quarryville, both copresidents of the Lancaster County 4-H Council, have been selected to attend the State 4-H Capital Days program in Harrisburg on April 18 and 19.
