Edward Myszka a Lancaster educator remembered
Edward J. Myszka former Lancaster Central School District Superintendent died at 79 on July 14. Born in Buffalo and longtime Lancaster resident he spent 46 years with the district including 12 years as business teacher and 28 as assistant superintendent. He retired in 2013 and was known for tireless empathetic service to colleagues. Continued on page 10.

Lancaster Airport Forms Cooperative Emergency Services Agreement
Lancaster airport established a written agreement with tenants to ensure access for emergency services after a May 14 2022 runway crash incident. Airport employee Jason Macken told the town board that the town emergency system will have access and cited a drill with Town Line Volunteer Fire Department, Lancaster Volunteer Ambulance Corp and Lancaster Police Department. The FAA was investigating the access denial and councilmembers sought clarity on rights of tenants and the airport.

Lancaster residents urge caution over Fieldstream subdivision
The Lancaster Town Board approved a final Fieldstream design for 6061 Broadway by 3-2 vote. The 50.3 acre project adds about 40 homes with new street lighting water and sewer lines while residents push for lower William Street speeds and safer crossings amid expected traffic and driveway changes.
