Village plans residential sewer inspections in Lancaster

Trustee John Mikoley announced at the Lancaster Village Board meeting that sewer system inspections will start in the next few weeks with letters going to every private residence. About 650 residents may be inspected, focusing on down spouts that may be illegally connected, followed by targeted notices. A proposed local law allowing vehicle ticketing passed a public comment session without issues.

Schedule for Lancaster Old Home Week Events

Lancaster prepares a five day Old Home Week from July 1 to July 5 with events across Cayuga Creek Park West Main Street and local venues. Activities include Movie Night first responder craft hour police and fire department gear displays Disney Karaoke and Encanto at dusk Shakespeare in Delaware Park pinwheel craft, 175th Anniversary Ride, a 10K run, a parade, concerts by Nerds Gone Wild Town Band and More Heat, a West Main beer tent vendors food trucks carnival games and a big fireworks finale.
