Woman flees with cart after hit and run and shoplifting spree
On December 22 a hit and run damaged a homeowner’s trailer with a Waste Management truck seen on surveillance. A store employee reported a woman stole about 1700 in goods on December 24, then gave a rude gesture. She has warrants and a Lancaster court warrant issued. A December 27 shoplifting report notes a subject in a gray Audi leaving with over 500 in merchandise and a pending warrant.

Incoherent driver charged after Ambien bottle found
Depew police report a driver found parked in a lane on Walden Avenue at 12 46 a m. He showed slurred speech and incoherence, admitted Ambien use, and failed field sobriety tests. Ambien bottle had eight pills left of 28 prescribed. Ambulance transported him to hospital. Charged with misdemeanor DWI and drug impairment.
