Langworthy backs bid to ban congressional stock trading
U S Rep Nick Langworthy joined the Prohibit Insider Trading Act as a co sponsor. The measure bars members and spouses from buying or trading individual stocks futures options commodities and warrants while in office. Violators face civil fines up to 50000 and profits must go to the U S Treasury with audits of every member every two years.
