Bryant and Sambrano gain regional experience at Brownwood

In Brownwood at the Class 4A regional meet, Kreg Bryant and Ruben Sambrano did not place in the top sixth but gained valuable experience. Bryant finished seventh in the 110 high hurdles and eighth in the 300 hurdles, while Lambrano, not Bryant, dropped out midrace due to an ankle twist. The sole state qualifier from District 24A was Andrews’ Kirk Pearcy, who set a 1,600m time of 4:21.98 and helped Andrews place in the team standings. Culwell notes both athletes will benefit from the experience and aim higher next season.
