WTCC Reacts To Omnibus Parks Bill Report In West Texas
The West Texas Chamber of Commerce said Congress may drop Big Bend Wilderness from HR 12536, keeping Guadalupe Mountains Wilderness and Rio Grande Wild River Designation. WTCC opposes new federal land controls, citing staff limits and private-property impact, warning development and maintenance within existing parks would suffer. The plan would bar future growth from Big Bend to Langtry on the Texas side.
