Lamesa officials face resignation of Alvin Cannady as superintendent
Alvin Cannady resigns as Lamesa schools superintendent effective July 1 1973 after a five and a half hour board meeting. He will become Administrative Dean at Midland Community College. His wife Glenna Cannady also resigns as media specialist at the Middle School. The board session noted hostility from new members Wendell Strahan and Ed Fulbright.
