The day saw two traffic crashes amid a bad afternoon. Cleo Cathey Parker was hit after backing from a Montgomery Wards spot. Marcelino Hernandez Jo Friday was driving the other vehicle. Jerry Allen Chaney was struck by a semi driven by Robert Larry Ingram at South Dallas and South Lynn around 6 30 pm, investigated by City patrolman Quintero. The distribution changes at the post office reshuffle Rural Route C and adjust box numbers on several routes, with residents notified of address changes. Farmers anticipate an April 25 planting window for 1973 cotton, aided by subsoil moisture and potential rains before seeding.
