City council approves building review and inspection contracts
The council authorized agreements with CSG Consultants Inc for building plan review and CivilSource Inc for building inspection and permit counter services through June 2016 with extension options. Beginning Oct 1 the permit counter opens 7:30 a.m. to noon weekdays staffed by a building services pro. Most plan reviews not over the counter drop to seven days and most permits will be issued electronically.

Car crashes into Polly's Pies injuring four in Laguna Hills
A white Toyota Corolla driven by an 88 year old woman struck Polly's Pies at 23701 Moulton Parkway in Laguna Hills. Four people were injured including an 88 year old woman and a 68 year old man. the driver and a second passenger had minor injuries. The restaurant remains closed pending inspection.
