The La Marque Independent School District offers three preschool programs. A State Foundation Kindergarten serves district residents age five years two months by Sept 1 1971 with family income under $3,000 and for language limited children. registration at Highlands Elementary. A Title I program serves ages five to six years one month with income under $8,000 or language needs, registration at Highlands. A Head Start enrolls 38 children under OEO guidelines, age by Sept 1 1971, with family income schedules and welfare eligibility. immunizations required. registration at Highlands Aug 9–11.
