The administrator of the estate of Zella Sherman in Union county Oregon files the final account in the county court. A hearing to object to the report is set for December 28 1908 at 10:00 AM at the county judge's office in La Grande Oregon.
Freight train No 56 escaped a serious wreck just outside the yard limits when a box car wheel split. The brake beam wire buried the brake shoe against the wheel and kept it from turning, preventing a ditching. Railroad men say this was a major stroke of luck for an O R and N train.
