Memorial services of the Elks draw large crowd
The Elks annual memorial services drew a large audience with strong addresses and music. W S Levens of Baker City delivered the keynote tribute praised for eloquence and logic. The program noted performances by F S Ivanhoe and P Ferrin with a missing quartet and a solo by Mrs. J Van Buren. A school district notice follows.

Old-Timer G A Grimmitt Visits City from Weiser
G A Grimmitt of Weiser, formerly long a county resident, visits today as guest of grandson J J Carr. He operated a local brick yard and produced brick for the first Masonic hall and for Blue Mountain university. The bricks helped line the interior walls of the present high school building. He plans to spend winter with daughter Mrs Wood on the coast.
