Freight business is light but engines receive special care as the round house crew stays very busy. Engine 103 suffered a slight wreck nearby and is now here for repairs. The company shows signs of curbing its work train devertment as numbers taper.

In circuit court Judge Knowles granted two divorces, one for Ia B. Gaskell from Sam B. Gaskell and another for Luenda Tucker from W. L. Tucker. The John Dimmick state case began yesterday and continued today with a motion for a non-suit discussed before adjourning until 1:30, which was overruled.

Mia Lena Severance wife of former State Senator Severance of San Francisco hanged herself in the Napa state insane asylum yesterday. She had been committed three weeks earlier. She climbed a chair and used a picture button on the wall, then kicked away the chair and died from strangulation.

Mrs Martha Gyettrupp of First Street was examined and adjudged insane this afternoon before Judge Henry. She was previously in the asylum recently and paroled. Her continued actions indicate she should be returned.

Bank Robbery At East Side Bank In Portland

Three unmasked men held up the East Side bank in Portland yesterday afternoon, taking about $17,000 in gold, currency, and valuables. A horse and buggy rig abandoned nearby, plus $200 in mud near the bank, were found as investigators searched the city. Police report shots fired. no trace of the robbers as of this morning.
